Criteria
This subject will primarily be based in Social Sciences because of its historical base, but since we will be exploring the musical based on Hamilton's life as well we also need to consider the Humanities. Though history usually utilizes both these fields as "Research within the Disciplines" tells us that history straddles the line between the humanities and the social sciences. Keeping this in mind criteria for finding resources had to be expanded and more generalized. Here is a list of the base criteria for all the bibliographic items found:
- Wide variety of sources to cover multiple disciplines
- The validity of each article is assessed.
- A mixture of "nearby and convenient resources" (Head) with more obscure resources
- Relevant to Hamilton's life
- Wide range of accessibility options when possible
Accessibility
Where possible an asterisk "*" within the bibliography and database portion will tell the reader what accessibility features the item has available to users. Accessibility is extremely important to users because as Wahl states "features such as captions and transcripts are vital becausethey help to make streaming video content more universal‐ly accessible to users, including the deaf and hard-of-hear-ing (HOH)."
